PA&D ANNUAL PRE-CONFERENCE

The Program Administration & Development (PA&D) Committee hosts a Pre-Conference prior to the NWSA conference. This day-long event includes panels, papers, and workshops, as well as a continental breakfast and a luncheon. 

Networking, exchange of information, professional development, discussion about the state of women’s studies / gender studies administration, and other topics of interest make the PA&D Pre-Conference an important day for women’s and studies program administrators, directors, and chairs.

PA&D Pre-Conference Activities General Overview:

In addition to sessions of panels and presentations, the PA&D Pre-Conference includes a business meeting, where critically important decisions are made about the priorities for NWSA program administrators.  Elections are held for memberhship on the PA&D Steering Committee; voters consist of all Women’s Studies / Gender Studies Chairs, Directors, and Coordinators from NWSA member institutions.

There is a registration fee for the Program Administration and Development Pre-Conference.  This fee is in addition to the general conference registration fee, and includes continental breakfast and lunch.

The Program Administration and Development Committee (PA&D) is a standing committee in NWSA specifically designed to represent the interests and needs of administrators of women's studies and gender studies programs and departments to the Governing Council of NWSA and to assist NWSA in meeting the needs of women's administrators and their departments and programs.
