ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The NWSA annual conference is intended to provide a forum conducive to dialogue and collective action among women dedicated to feminist education and changes. The gatherings include plenariesfeaturing a diversity of leading scholars and activists, small sessions and workshops proposed by NWSA members, as well as cultural events and feminist entertainment.
ANNUAL PRE-CONFERENCES
Take advantage of networking and professional development opportunities at the Program Administration and Development Pre-Conference, or at the Women’s Center Pre-Conference.
COMPLIMENTARY MEMBERSHIPS FOR THREE STUDENTS
Member Institutions receive three complimentary student memberships annually, that enable students to attend the conference at the member rate and take full advantage of individual member benefits such as scholarships and conference travel and registration grants.
ENHANCED LISTING IN THE GUIDE TO WOMEN'S STUDIES
As an Institutional Member, your listing in our comprehensive Guide to Women's Studies will note your NWSA membership, include your address, relevant contact information, and a hotlink to your program's URL.
EMPLOYMENT SERVICE
Member Institutions get reduced rates to participate in the NWSA employment service held during the Annual Conference.
EMPLOYMENT LISTINGS
Member institutions may post employment listings at no charge on the NWSA Empoyment opportunities webpage.
ACCESS TO RESOURCES
NWSA reserves its "Mapping the Field" database collection for seach by Institutional members. The listings are particularly helpful for peer review and comparison of programs and departments.
SUBSCRIPTION TO PROFESSIONAL LISTSERVS
Institutional members have access to restricted listservs, the PA-List and the Ca-List intended to help members communicate with each other on issues associated with departmental or center adminstration.
FIND A CONSULTANT
NWSA supports regular program evaluation as essential to the health and development of the fields of Women's Studies and Gender Studies. Listings are intended to facilitate that process and to provide support for women's studies programs and departments in the process of self-study and evaluation.
We welcomes members that meet the basic criteria established by the Organization, to list themselves as available consultants or evaluators, so that an institution looking to hiring them can review the listings and decide if any specific consultant or evaluator is appropriate to meet the needs of their institution.Likewise, NWSA members are encouraged to list themselves as a consultant for campus Women's Centers.
