WOMEN OF COLOR LEADERSHIP PROJECT
The WoCLP is designed to increase the number of women of color students and faculty within the field of women’s studies and gender studies and, consequently, to have an impact on the levels of participation and power by women of color in the PA&D, NWSA, and in the field of women’s studies as a whole.
Women of color in women’s studies, ethnic studies, or related fields may apply if they aspire to leadership within women’s / gender studies or NWSA.
Applicants may include graduate students, faculty, and current program administrators who wish to be more involved in program or Association leadership.
WOMEN OF COLOR JUNIOR FACULTY INSTITUTE (SPELMAN)
Hosted by Spelman College’s Women’s Research and Resource Center in conjunction with the National Women’s Studies Association, the Institute is designed to explore issues of power and privilege and examine intersectional analyses of race, class, nation, sexuality, gender, and globalization which have become central to scholarship and teaching in the field of women’s studies as well as feminist activism. The Institute was funded with generous support from The Ford Foundation.
