Member-at-Large Bio
Mahruq Khan is an Associate Professor of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She focuses on the intersections of gender, race, and human rights. Her research has centered on the experiences of gender- and sexually-diverse Muslims. On her campus, she is the Events/Programming Coordinator, Advising and Promoting WGSS Coordinator and Coordinator of Indirect Assessment of the Women’s Studies program. In 2019, she traveled to Palestine to collaborate with faculty and NGO's in the West Bank, resisting the Israeli occupation.
