Feminist Frequencies
As part of our initiatives to reconnect with our membership, we are excited to offer #FeministFrequencies, a podcast series named and hosted the Interim Executive Director.
Feminist Frequencies is a conversation space brought to you by the National Women's Studies Association that aims to sit between learning environments and community spaces. Think of Feminist Frequencies as a third space for feminists: leaving abstraction at the door and talking tangibly about what it takes to live and breathe feminisms.
Our first episodes will feature the Association President and focus on the state of the Association and the national conference, October will focus on conference lead-up, and December will recap the conference. Other episodes will feature the Governing Council (GC), Constituency Group leaders, members, and NWSA partners. This is our virtual space for conversation and connection.
Our first episode, published in February 2024, is a Fireside Chat-style exploring President Lewis' goals for the Annual Conference theme and commitments to celebrating and honoring the rich history of NWSA - for example, did you know that 2024 marks 45 years of the Annual Conference or that we elected our first President in 1983? Tune in to listen in on this conversation and learn more about the conference and our collective vision for a more expansive NWSA.
